Purpose
We glorify God by providing the basic human needs of food, clothing, shelter, and resources to Lexington County residents in times of crisis.
Statements of Belief

Statement of Faith

We worship and serve the one eternal, triune God who rules over all and who has revealed Himself in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We submit to the teaching of the Bible, which is the Word of God written, the only infallible rule of faith and practice.

We believe that we have eternal life through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. By grace, we are saved from our sins.

We share the good news of Jesus Christ in words and deeds.

ABOUT US
OUR STORY
OUR TEAM
Founded in 1978 by four churches, Mission Lexington began as a way to support individuals and families facing urgent needs and limited resources. While our core mission remains unchanged, our community’s rapid growth has driven the expansion of our facilities, staff, programs, and volunteer base. As Lexington County continues to grow, so do the challenges its residents face.
As the county’s central hub for crisis assistance, Mission Lexington provides essential support, including food, clothing, shelter, resources, and guidance. In 2024 alone, we addressed over 37,638 needs—helping with everything from rehousing a family of six to supplying interview attire for a father seeking employment. Our impact is made possible through a network of local businesses, government agencies, corporations, organizations, individuals, and 63 member churches that sustain our vision.
Over the years, we have operated from multiple locations to accommodate our evolving needs. Today, our services—including a thriving thrift store, food pantry, mobile food pantry, donation center, social services, and administrative offices—are housed at 216 Harmon Street in downtown Lexington, SC.
