  • Mission Lexington Rental Assistance

     

    To apply for financial assistance, you must:
     

    • Be a Lexington County resident who has not received financial assistance from Mission Lexington in the past

    • Have a current crisis that has led you to be unable to pay your current financial obligations

    • have a stable and consistent income that will allow you to cover all necessary expenses moving forward

    All of the following must be provided to start an application for rental assistance:
     

    1.Proof of crisis

    Supporting documents of something out of the ordinary *within the past 90 days* that has caused financial hardship.

    2. Proof of income for all adults in the household

    Three most recent pay stubs, Social Security award letter, or unemployment benefits.

    3. SC ID (with Lexington County address) for each adult in household.

    Must match current address OR proof of change updated with the DMV.

    4. Social Security cards

    for ALL in household, including children.

    5. Lease (with Lexington County address)

    Must be current and signed with your name and address of rental property. Also provide eviction notice (if applicable).

    6. Detailed Rental Ledger from Landlord/Property Manager

    Must include monthly rent amount, the total amount due, and fees or additional charges with the current balance. Ledger to include payment history going back at least 1 year (if applicable).

    7. Landlord/Property Manager’s contact information

    Including address, phone number, and email address.

    Submitting an application is not a guarantee of services. Each applicate will be reviewed on an individual basis. A determination will be made after your application has been processed.
